Sharp in flavour and very juicy this variety is mostly used for juicing but is also good for eating. Valencias have smooth, thin skin, pale flesh and contains few if any seeds. Don’t be put off in the summer months if you notice a greening of the Valencia’s skin, this is a normal process called “re-greening” that happens when the climate is warm.
Seasons: Australian grown Valencias are available between October to April.
Regions: The growing regions in Western Australia are Perth & Surrounds and the South West.
